Rei gave a slight sigh as he shifted position slightly. He wasn't fully sat up, more half sat up, his weight resting on his elbows his upper body curving down to where his legs and butt touched the ground. His pony tail was sinuously curved around one arm as his head was tilted back looking up at the sky, the many streaks of light reflected off his amber brown eyes as he watched the meteor shower. I wonder what Kai would make of this he thought to himself, a slight smile twitching the corner of his mouth.
Cause I've been down and I've been crawling
Won't back down no more
As he thought of Kai the wind drifted through his hair. He thought back on how many times they'd battled. Remembering the times he'd ended up on his knees, still not giving in. Not giving in until he'd been forced to or risk losing Drigger. The times the words he'd longed to say just wouldn't come out.
Can't you stop the lies, falling from the skies
Down on me, I'm still standing
Can't you roll the dice, I might be surprised
Conscience clear, I'm still standing here
He admitted it to himself. He was living a lie. He gave another sigh as he let his mind drift back on the present, watching as more of the meteors the small chunks of rock burnt up as they streaked towards the earth, reminding him of the red feathers that Dranzer would call down streaking from the sky to trap the blade. Remembering Kai's face in so much detail, it was almost as if he was there. Rei had to sigh softly wondering where Kai was.

Hot water poured over pale skin, its heat slowly tinging the flesh into a slight pink. Large hands rested upon the tiles. Water dripped off the matt of slate hair. Kais eyes were closed, yet now when he was alone his face was a story book. His story was anything but pleasant, his face spoke volumes of pain.
The shower beeped, and the water stopped its flow. For a few minutes Kai remained standing most of his weight resting on his palms that were pressed against the tiles. Slowly he stirred, shook his wet hair from his face and exited the shower. He idly picked up a white towel and unconsciously dried his wet skin. Slowly he moved over to the fogged up mirror. His reflection was uncertain – as was his mind. Without purpose his ran his ran over the cold exterior of the mirror. His reflection slowly came into focus. He could hardly recognise himself.
He pushed away from the mirror and made his way to another large room inside the mansion - His room. His eyes immediately went to the window and the magnormious display the heavens were putting on for him. A sudden and irresistible urge came over him – he needed to see this display, he needed to get himself to some open space. He threw on the shirt he had worn to work earlier, leaving many of the buttons undone. It was in need of an iron but it still smelt clean. He found a comforting pair of old pants from his wardrobe, a pair similar to those he use to wear when bey-blading.
As he made his way to the park he thought about that major decision of his life. He had given up blading a few years ago now. Did he still feel pain over that decision? Or was this so called career all that much better for him? It was as Kai’s mind was stumbling over this theory that his eyes caught on a prone figure in the grass. One word entered and stilled Kais mind – Rei....
Kai’s eyes took in the Cat that lounged on the damp grass before him. Thoughts of the night display were suddenly very far away. To Kai, Rei really was a cat. His mannerisms, his character, his true central person were a cat. The way his golden eyes reflected the lights overhead and the way that his ‘tail’ had been subconsciously wrapped around his arm. I wonder if he purrs... The lightest of sighs escaped from Kai. Just seeing Rei had relaxed all the tense muscles.
It was the usually, confident, self composed Kai that approached the sky gazing figure. His head of slightly wet hair was moved to obscure Rei’s view of the night sky.
“Well look at that – You really do purr!!

Rei hadn't stirred an inch his breathing calm and settled purring quietly at the view of the stars above him. His amber gold eyes were reflecting the lights, purring more. He was half dozing before he heard footsteps approaching, no matter how quietly they were trying to be.
He shifted a bit resettling himself his tunic falling open revealling that he hadn't got a top on, just wearing his trousers purring more. He blinked seeing a familiar face obscuring his vision...well a sillouhette "Nnn...Kai?" he tested out.
He smiled a bit though. Happy with the show above him, calm and relaxed as he always did.

Rei’s words moved Kai into startlement. It wasn’t so much the words but his tone, his mannerism. Kai’s brain started to work in overdrive... Is that how someone usually is greeted when the other is half asleep? After the initial shock over Rei’ words Kai took in just what was laying down below him. Just the thought of Rei being below him was enough to entice erotic through his mind. Yet this Rei the real one not the one just in his mind was shirtless. Kai’s face is quickly moved from Rei’s line was vision as he lays down beside him.
The image of the moment was imbedded into Kai’s mind. A sigh escaped from his body as he finally clams down enough to face Rei again. The usual unreadable Kai started back at rei.
