Parts of the Beyblade
A beyblade comprises of 5 parts for your standard blade (Some namely attack ones have a spin gear inside them too).
The names of these parts are as follows:
Attack ring - This is the widest part of your blade and sits on top of the weight disc and blade base. Some attack rings also have a sub attack ring that will sit beneath it.
Weight Disc - Different blades react better to different weights. Often made of a light weight metal different densities of this metal give different weights. A defence blade has a heavier weight disc then an attack blade.
Blade Base - This, is the very bottom part of the beyblade. The only part of this that should come in contact with the stadium or ground is the very tip which is what the beyblade spins on
Bit chip - Sitting on top of the attack ring, clipped in place, this is the heart and soul of the beyblade, especially if it has its own bit beast.
Launcher - Comprising of a ripcord as well as the launcher unit itself this is what's used to launch the beyblade by use of friction and rotational speed.
Bitbeasts
Bitbeasts are mythical creatures for the most part, though there are some of animals living now that are revered for whatever reason. They will inhabit the bit chip of the blade belonging to a worthy beyblader coming out to do battle to help them win the match.
Beybattling
A beybattle normally takes place in a stadium. It's always started by the words '3, 2, 1 let it rip'. The winner is whoevers blade is still spinning in the stadium, or whoever manages to knock the opponents blade out of the stadium.
Street Beyblading
This is an unofficial style, that flouts all the Beyblade Association rules, instead living by just one rule - win. Many street beybladers are in it only for money and will use dirty tactics to win the fight. They also often fight under alias names rather then giving there true names. There are a few street bladers who know the BBA rules though.
BBA (Beyblade Association)
The BBA is the main body that governs Beyblade as a sport, makes its rules and arranges the world championships. IT is headed by Mr thingyenson who's a kindly old man.
World Championships
Something every beyblader dreams of, even some of the street beybladers. To take part in the World Championships for many is good enough. It takes training and dedication though to become the world champion.
